How stages work

Nine stages, driven entirely by lifetime Mass

Planet Clicker does not have difficulty settings — your planet's stage is a pure function of how much Mass you have ever produced. It only moves forward, it never resets while you play, and it never blocks or slows a purchase. Reaching a new stage is purely a visual milestone: a bigger, more advanced planet with new colors, glow, and rings where relevant.

  1. 01 · Where every planet begins

    Space Dust

A loose cloud of grit and ice, barely held together by its own gravity.

    Reached at 0 Mass

  2. 02 · A body worth naming

    Asteroid

Dense enough to hold a shape, cratered from a million small collisions.

    Reached at 1,000 lifetime Mass

  3. 03 · Round under its own weight

    Dwarf Planet

Gravity has pulled it into a sphere, though it still shares its orbit with debris.

    Reached at 25,000 lifetime Mass

  4. 04 · A world of its own

    Planet

Layered continents and deep oceans — a fully-fledged planet with its own weather.

    Reached at 500,000 lifetime Mass

  5. 05 · Bigger than rock allows

    Gas Giant

A swirling ball of hydrogen and helium, wide enough to swallow smaller worlds whole.

    Reached at 10,000,000 lifetime Mass

  6. 06 · Ignition

    Star

Fusion has taken hold at the core — your planet now makes its own light.

    Reached at 250,000,000 lifetime Mass

  7. 07 · Collapsed and blazing

    Neutron Star

The remnant of a supernova, city-sized but denser than anything else in the sky.

    Reached at 5,000,000,000 lifetime Mass

  8. 08 · Beyond the event horizon

    Black Hole

So dense that light itself cannot escape — only its accretion disk still glows.

    Reached at 100,000,000,000 lifetime Mass

  9. 09 · A hundred billion stars

    Galaxy

Your planet has become the gravitational seed of an entire spiral galaxy.

    Reached at 2,500,000,000,000 lifetime Mass

Every threshold is reachable through ordinary play — there is no hidden requirement beyond producing enough lifetime Mass. See the tips page for the fastest way to climb through them.
